I think the path changed a bit, but the destination is pretty close. I wanted to be married with children. And I am. Not only that, but in a way I feel like I have a better, stronger marriage then I even thought I could. We're not perfect, far from it, but we're perfect for each other. And just like us, our kids aren't perfect either. But they are amazing and bring so much love, humor and joy to my life. As for my career, eh. I had every intention of being a newscaster. That certainly didn't happen. I wound up taking over my mom's dance school and couldn't be happier. I love what I do and I love that I only work part time and have lots of down time with my family.

Nope. I thought I'd be much further along professionally, and that I'd have 2 kids. My life kind of got stuck in limbo for a few years. Now I'm content with my 1 DD, and I'm no rush for #2.

No, but I'm not complaining. 
My plan was to be single and childfree (even though I liked kids). I assumed I'd be in law enforcement and traveling around too much.
Then I met my DH...and I went down a different road. Being a SAHM to 4 children was never on my radar. 
I do truly feel blessed though.

Sometimes I think so, other times not.
I'm married, own a house, have a baby and I just turned 30.
I have a very different career path than I intended and didn't have those few carefree finding yourself single years before settling down.
Of course there are things I'm still striving for, but overall I'm proud of everything I've accomplished thus far.

It sounds horrible for me to say this but I had no expectations for career. I was very confused about what I would want to do for the rest of my life. The only thing I was sure of is that I wanted to be a mom. That's what I am and I'm perfectly fine with where I am. Maybe when I'm done having babies I can focus more on a career...but for now...this is more important to me.

I never really looked to the future. I always lived in the 'right now'. the only thing I absolutely wanted was to be a mom and I am- so I guess yes, I am. The awesome marriage and house are bonuses.

With everything except kids....I thought i'd be further along then just 1 DS at this point, but the rest of my life is spot on so I really can't complain.....

Far far surpassed what I thought.
Eta. The only thing is that I don't have the career I thought I would have.
I am so very grateful for what I have. I have best friends, a job I love, a great marriage. We don't struggle financially, and I am in a position (not a big one) to help my mom and make sure she is ok. . Have a lot to be grateful for.

I think I am actaully further along than I imagined I would be at my current age . Sometimes I think it would be quite nice to slow down for a while and just take it easy.

No, but I'm ok where I am. Expected to have more kids by now and be a bit more financially stable. But we just bought a house and had a baby. I have a good career and I love my son and my husband immensely. So for me that's more important than anything

I guess I'm pretty close, I just wish we were in a better state financially and that DH had a steady job. I never thought I'd be the breadwinner after marrying a PhD scientist. We were doing better financially before DD was born but she's worth going into debt :)

nope. I thought I would own a home, be married, and have kids. Im getting divorced, live with my parents, and have no children.
But it is what it is. I suppose this is the path im supposed to be on.

I think the reality is that you can dream as a kid but when you become an adult everything is so expensive. I never thought I would see a world that is thankful for having a job.
I guess in my personal life I am content. I have 2 gorgeous girls, married and a job in the field I studied. I think if we took all that down to a more affordable area like fl or North Carolina, we would be a lot less stressed but we have family here and that is most important for our upbringing of our girls. We make it happen.
