No... not at all - but not really in a bad way.
Back in the day - I always thought I'd be married with kids and a house.
Now I'm married and in a condo - working toward a house and DH and I decided to have puppies instead of kids.
So - really its all about the house now!

I don’t know. I guess it depends when you asked me. I’m 30 now, didn’t think I would get married when I had just turned 25 but I did, and bought a house the same year. DH and I are both established and successful in our careers. I think when I was younger I thought I would get married more at 27-29 timeframe and then have kids. When I got married at 25 instead, at that time I thought I’d have kids in the next 3-5 years…so definitely by 30, which is how old I am now. But I still don’t feel ready, still enjoying married life with no kids far too much. It’s interesting how your expectations for yourself change over time…

In my personal life, YES, better than I ever would have expected.
Financially, God no.
Career-wise, no, not at all. I never would have imagined I would not be using my degree or certifications and would be a stay at home mom. I mean, I'm homeschooling my kids, so I guess technically I'm using my degree, but not the way I expected!!
I think this is me, although I dont have the patience to home school!

No. I had serious health issues that set me back a bit... also my career is nowhere near what I thought it would be.. but those health issues did get in the way of that a bit and also I stayed in my last position a lot longer than I should have.
I am happy though, so that is all that matters

I never thought I would get married, and I was 100% ok with that.
I ended up getting married and having a baby and couldn't be happier and more satisfied!!!
Career wise, I thought I would be a bit more established in my career but I'm ok with that for now....

Career wise, no, but having kids changed that path for me. I never imagined there would be a SAHM fork in the road for me.
As far as being happily married with 2-3 kids, I'm right on target.

Yes, definitely! I'm dealing with a medical issue right now that's thrown a temporary, but large, wrench in my life's plans but once this shit is over, everything will fall back into place.
And then I'm going to Ireland next year, so that's keeping my chin up!

God, no. I thought I would have two or three kids, be married for 10 years already, have a wonderful house with a pool, a dog or two, and a great career. I'm just now at 37 pregnant with my first child, possibly my only, and getting married to a wonderful man, thank God, and I'm pretty well situated in my career. Better late than never, they say!

Yes, kinda. Mostly I guess.
Being that DH and I are high school sweethearts I would've expected to have older kids right now as opposed to having a five year old and an eight month old. Just didn't work out that way.
I also would've expected to be out of debt right now but life happens . We're working on that though.
Otherwise, I'm pretty much where I'd thought (or hoped to be)..............married, kids, a house, and being a SAHM.
