Ugh - I am a republican but I just don't think I could bring myself to vote for Trump. I fear for the safety of our nation if he is elected. So as much as I hate Clinton I think I would have to vote for her.

Oops - sorry just saw you didn't want comments! sorry about that!

Clinton vs Trump

Clinton. I know that a lot of people do not like her, and I do not feel she is some saint, she is a true politician and has done some things I do not agree with but at this point she is our best bet IMO.

Also I have said it a million time but if she were a man she would be much more popular, it is the truth regardless of how many say it isn't a factor. It is the same w female comedians, they are just not as well received, men can get away w things that women cant in this country.

For me personally, I can't in good conscience allow Trump to win, even if it means voting for Hillary. Yes, it's the lesser of two evils argument, but here it would be warranted.

Same for me. As a woman who has a daughter I could never vote for someone like Trump.

Clinton is a politician so I would never expect her to be a saint. However, like you said if she were a man people would look the other way.

Clinton may not be perfect - no politician is, they are all humans like the rest of us - but she has a lot of brains and a lot of experience. Who would I vote for - someone with actual foreign policy experience or someone who actually thinks its feasible to build a wall and have Mexico pay for it. Within the last week Trump has already flip flopped on a number of issues. How can anyone trust anything that he says at this point?

This poll result is honestly terrifying to me. Fortunately most of the responders live in NY where it won't matter anyway.

As a mother period--picture it--your child behaving like Trump does--I would be mortified if my son behaved like that 4.5 never mind when he is grown man. My kids are not allowed to call people STUPID or FAT--they are 4 and 20months--putting it in that scope shows you how INSANE the idea of him being our PRESIDENT IS!

Look -I'm not voting for the guy, but these are the type of comments that infuriate me.

What Trump supporter is going to come out and say they're voting for him when people on this thread make comments like that?

I think everyone should respect everyone's right to vote for who they choose without ridiculing them.

And if people are "astonished" at the poll, they are clearly out of touch with a large population in this country. Regardless of how you feel about the man (I personally disagree with him on nearly everything), he has a MASSIVE following. So it shouldn't be "astonishing" that its a nearly 50/50 split.

I was going to say- how is anyone surprised at these results?
He obviously has a ton of support- look at how he pretty much blew all the other candidates running in the primaries with him out of the water. It's not at all surprising to me to see these results.
