As long as you aren't falling down drunk, I don't think it is too big a deal. I remember reading something about how many women drank and smoked not knowing they are PG. It is the once you know and continuing that is so not right.

No, it is not bad. Your baby doesn't start sharing your blood supply until 6 weeks. Don't get obliterated, but a few drinks won't hurt you!

Re: 2ww and drinking

IMO

1. if you stop your normal routine while TTC, the stress adds more to the possibility of not conceiving... I'm on month 11 and owe everything to STRESSing out about TTC

2. if you got a BFN, but found out you were PG a couple of days later - there would be no effect on the baby... plenty of people drink thinking they're not PG and then find out they are and the baby is completely fine. You officially do not share a blood line with the baby until the 5th or 6th week of gestation... if you are concerned, avoid getting hammered.

BTW - I'm Chat Icon 'ing for the BFP for you tho!

I agree completely. I don't put my life on hold, TTC can sometimes take a while, you don't share blood yet even if you are pregnant so I say live it up. TTC is stressful enough. If you get the BFP before, I'm sure you (any of us, really) would gladly forgo. Otherwise, we need a few to get through it sometimesChat Icon
