poop question! formula-fed babies
we just increased my 5 week old to 4oz of formula from 3/3.5oz... She used to poop once a day right around the same time. Ever since we increased to 4oz (about a week ago), she's been going 2 full days without pooping, and they're not really big blowouts like I expected them to be... She's been fussier than usual, and I see how uncomfortable she is because she needs to poop! Did this happen to anyone else when they increased the formula? Hoping she gets back on a schedule in a few days

Poop habits change. Could be the formula or could be a coincidence and it's her digestive system maturing.

Probably has nothing to do with the formula increase. Babies tummies grow and their appetites increase. Babies will change 3409283409239048 times and have weird things for no reason at all. But blowout diapers? That's pretty normal actually.

When she goes, what is the poop like? Is it hard or soft? Doctors usually say anything goes as long as it's soft. If it's hard (or hard pieces followed by soft), then it may be constipation and you may want to talk to your doctor.

It's soft, so i know she isn't constipated... to update everyone, she is back on a "schedule" lol- I think she just needed to adjust to the 4 oz every 4 hours
