Temping vs OPKs
For 9 months now my DH and I have been TTC with no success. We've been using OPKs and they have seemed accurate, I've been getting my period 14 days after it turns positive on the OPK. Now at 9 months, I'm feeling like maybe we should try temping, maybe we're missing something? Has anyone noticed a difference between OPKs and temping, even when they thought the OPKs were accurate? TIA

Temping vs OPKs
i dont temp but if i don't get pregnant this month i may consider it because of what you are saying. I got a smiley on wednesday but it didn't feel like i ovulated until saturday, so now I'm curious.
what days are you dtd?

This is my first cycle temping. I def. felt like I was missing something with just using the OPKs. My concern has been whether I'm ovulating at all. I was getting the solid smiley but still not 100% when I was ovulating. Im hoping it's just happening later than I'm realizing. We shall see! I'm expecting a solid smiley any day now...
I'm also following Deanna's plan while temping and using the OPKs

We were following Deanna's plan this month. Also I was trying mucinex as well. I'm supposed to get AF tomorrow and still no bfp so I don't think it will have happened this month either. So that's why I was considering doing temping and trying preseed next month.

One last question... So with opks you ovulate 12-36 hrs after it's positive with temping are you ovulating the moment it spikes? How does that work?

From what I read and understand, the spike means you've already ovulated. That's why the OPK's and just listening to your body with twinges and CM is helpful to determine when you are actually ovulating.
