Do you think all the OPKs, temping, CM checks makes you crazy?

I know they are all great tools in aiding, but I feel like they are making me CRAZY. I feel like Im obsessed and over analyzing everything.

For instance this month, scant, if any EWCM, no temp shift yet, no pos OPK all of which I have usually had by now.

This coupled with my follow up gyn appt on the 11th for cysts.

I feel like Im constantly worried about whether Im Oing, whats happening, what my temp is, what does my chart mean, what does it mean I have no + OPK.

All of this stress obviously cant help anything. Do you ever feel like you just dont want to do any of it?

Absolutely!! This is why I don't bother with that stuff. I only keep track of my O, and that I know even without OPK's because I always feel and I'm always on point with that. So I figured why waste my money on something I already know! So yes, I think all those things you mentioned are way too stressful and that [stress] can get in the way of getting a BFP.

Yes they do.

This month I had llike 13 days of high on my CBEFM, no smiley face, EWCM but no smiley face and I'm flipping out. I don't know if I O'ed or not and AF is due next week. I don't think I can do this for too many months without going crazy LOL. Hopefully we won't need to.

Without a doubt! I wake up everyday and say "what CD am I on and what do I have to do today". Like I wasn't neurotic enough.....

everyone handles ttc differently... obviously if youre at the point where its making you crazy then taking a step back is a good idea... but i dont think doing any of these things makes anyone crazy

I can see both views on this topic. I feel every cycle i have a different stance on it. For me cycle 5(this month) I have decided to stop using OPK, i have found that i am calmer since stopping. BUT if this is not my cycle. I intend to go full force again cycle 6, preseed, robitussin, OPK..
If you feel like you are getting stressed by it then maybe take a step back and let nature takes it course

In a short and very general answer, yes.

I got pregnant on the first try without trying. Zero stress, just had great sex a few times a week tops.

That ended in a miscarriage and I am back to trying again.

I tried again last month for the first time since the loss. I used the opk and on a schedule. I practically did Deanna's Plan and no pregnancy. We had a lot more sex than the month I got pregnant but I was stressed about it and so was my husband. I think we tried too hard and I'm not shocked that I didn't get pregnant.

Unfortunately I am on doctors orders to use the opk. I think I'd have a better chance if the opk was in the garbage and we just a few times every week like normal. Using the opk makes me feel like I need to have some type of plan and when that :) comes I feel like I have to have sex. For me, that creates stress and I know it makes it hard for my husband too.

Good points on both sides. I think if I dont get PG this month, or the next say two.....Ill stop with the OPKs and temping. I figure by then, Ill have enough information (5 months worth) to gauge when we should .

We got PG with DS, one evening, in a quickie, on the way out to Xmas eve dinner....LOL! Seemed the low stress way worked for us, but it was just a fluke.

I don't know that it is THAT stuff specifically that makes me crazy. I think its the fact that my body is obviously out of wack (or what is out of wack compared to the supposed normal schedule). It is the crap shoot of the reproductive cycle and the fact that one cycle will completely different from the next. The fact that there is not ONE way to have a baby. That everyone can do the exact same thing but only a certain few will get pregnant. THOSE are the things that drive me crazy.

OMG...absolutely! I love them but HATE them sooo much at the same time!! I wish I could just be one of those girls who "go with the flow" and just whenever and BAM they're pregant...but I'm just not. I love being in control and maybe this is something I really shouldnt be in control of..ah!

I use opks but temping made me nuts. I felt like I always did it wrong and it was never accurate. I don't check or track CM either because I have no patience.

I have stopped all that and am just enjoying with my husband three times per week. What will be, will be.

We're on cycle 5 and after a breakdown last month, I have thrown everything away. Our has improved greatly since! Also, for the first time, I am noticing a good amount of EWCM, I think the stress was throwing me off before.
