WWYD fever related

DD is 4 months and all day yesterday had a low grade fever. No other symptoms other than the low grade fever and some irritability. Overnight it seemed to subside and now she seems ok. I am supposed to see my friend today who has a 3w old son. Should I bring DD with me or leave her home?

I wouldn't bring your DD. I usually follow the rule of being fever free for 24 hours. Hope she is feeling better.

Same here. I definitely wouldn't chance it with a newborn.

ITA. God forbid that NB gets sick, a fever at that age is an automatic stay in the hospital with a spinal tap. I would feel horrible if that happened, better off keeping your LO home.

If it were me, and this is just my opinion, I would tell your friend the situation and ask if she would feel more comfortable rescheduling.

Even if you leave your DD at home, you could still be next to get sick.

Re: WWYD fever related

Oh noooooooo. I hope she didn't get anything from dd, but dd didn't have a fever.

I think it's probably teething related since that tooth is breaking through.

Hope she's better soon,,.by this wknd for her big move.

Edit. I also def wouldn't bring her.

I def wouldn't bring her. Sometimes a fever even after it breaks can be a sign of something to come. Sometimes its nothing but teething related. Either way I wouldn't chance it with a newborn. I would also like stated above wash hands and change clothes before going to this persons house.
Never mess around with a newborn.
