WWYD fever related again

OK so my 2 yr old dd has had a fever since Sat. 104 on Sat, 100.6 on Sun night, 101.4 tonight. At the same time that she got the fever she developed a cough. now today she has green boogers and a rash on her bottom, and a hoarse voice.

She saw the doc on Sun because I thought it might be a uti. He said he could find nothing and to just monitor the fever. I really thought she was getting better because she was unmedicated all day today with 100, but then tonight it went up again.

Any ideas what this could be? Roseola's rash is on the torso, right? Besides her fever is not gone.

She is scheduled for the second H1N1 shot on Thurs. Should I cancel or wait and see?

TIA I appreciate any input.

Not sure about the rash but maybe the fever is related to an ear infection that went along with her cold/cough.

Well it is very normal to not have a fever or a low fever during the day and then have it go up at night - that is typical of fevers to be higher at night. So I wouldn't worry about that...sounds like it might be a virus. I wait on the shot if the fever isn't gone by tomorrow night I would cancel. But she could be all better by then so I would wait. If you are worried you could bring her in again tomorrow.

I agree that its totally normal during the day for the fever to go down and then back up, but yesterday it was much lower than tonight. Is that normal? I am seriously asking because I am not sure. Usually when my kids have fever it begins to dwindle at night and then continues a little lower or the same each night, but it seems hers went lower last night then tonight. What do you think?

Thanks again!
