Quick question WWYD? Fever related

Since Thursday DD has been running a fever between 102-103. It only goes down when I give her tylenol. Took her to the ped and she said viral. DD is acting fine and right now her fever broke but I suspect because I gave her tylenol earlier today. It's one of her best friends birthday party today and she is dying to go. I said no but my friend (the party host) is saying to bring her. WWYD? Please tell me I'm not alone in my thinking. Thanks.

No way would I bring her. She may still spike a fever later. Her immune system is lower right now, and she is probably still contagious. My rule of thumb is 24 hours fever free.

Definitely wouldn't bring my DD. Not only do you need her to get healthy, but you don't want her infecting other kids.

I would absolutely 100% NOT bring her. I'm sorry. You're consirered noncontageous 24 hours after being fever free with NO meds. I wouldn't want to risk getting other kids sick or her getting worse / catching something else because her immune system is already compromised.

If you take her you would be exposing all the kids there to whatever she has. She should be fever free for 24 hours without meds otherwise she is contagious.

Thanks everyone. I kept her home. I didn't want to be that Mom that brings her sick kid to a party and gets everyone sick and I also didn't want to risk DD catching anything else from there. Thanks
