Stopping bc question
Geez, I can't believe I'm posting on here lol.  
DH and I are NOT actively trying lol. But, I think we're going to stop not trying to get pregnant on the fall lol. Prior to going on bc I had really painful periods so I'm nervous about going off of it. Anyway, for those of you who were on bc (specifically the pill) how long ahead did you go off of it and how was it for you getting back on a reg. cycle?

I've only just stopped for 2 cycles, but I got my period the normal number of days afterward. It seems to have delayed my ovulation for a couple of days (oh yay  ) but other than that it's been just like it was before bcp.

Cycles were very regulated after getting off. Periods were def back to painful though. There are some months I wish I were back on them  They say you are usually very fertile when you get off of BCP so good luck!!!

Ok now that I got that out.....lol
I was on the pill for about 15 years, so I don't even remember what a "regular" period was like, lol. I stopped taking the pill in August (I think) and then got my first "real" period in September. It got pretty regular after that, but now it's all screwed up again since my d&c's.

I stopped in April. Took me until June to get AF. Called my doctor, she said that this is not uncommon.

I stopped in April after being on the pill for 11 years. I was pretty regular before the pill so 2 cycles after the pill have been regular. Just the amount of days I have AF has decreased. I had bad cramps before being on the pill and after stopping the pill the bad cramps have returned. Good luck.

Was on pill for 12 years. After my period at the very end of March I never went back on! It took 40 days to get my first period after BC and it was longer and painful compared to what I hade for 12 years! My next one came 32 days later and was MUCH better and shorter than the first so I think my body is starting to regulate itself. DH and I are going to start trying now ;)
