Stopping BF-- Question
I was down to only pumping for 10 minutes once a day. It has now been 8 days since I stopped all together. One of my boobs is worse than ever, soooo swollen & lumpy, it's so uncomfortable. Is this normal for it to be so long to stop production and go back to normal? The other boob is lumpy, but not nearly as bad. The one that's bothering me was the bigger producer always. I haven't done anything to try to interfere, I've just been letting it try to work itself out on it's own.
How would I know if something were wrong and not normal?
Any advice?

Re: Stopping BF-- Question
Try applying some frozen peas. If it is still the same after a couple of days, I would see your ob. You'd hate to get an infection and have to have it drained.

Can you try soaking it and using massage? Maybe even trying to empty it a little?

Re: Stopping BF-- Question
i would call you doctor/OB and just make sure everything is OK. I know that when i stopped BF, i def was uncomfortable for a while (most people do get engorged when stopping) but i also had a bad infection in my breast. I had to take an antibiotic, but they told me that they tell most people who stop/are weaning to wear a sports bra and put cold packs on it.
