Stopping birth control question!
How long did you wait before TTC after going off birth control?
I was told 2 months, does it really matter?

I was told you should wait three months but only to get your cycles regular again. There are no lasting affects of the pill except for that fact that your uterine lining is very thin while on the pill and once you come off during that three month cycle it begins to thicken. A thin uterine lining could just mean that if the egg is fertilized it may not "stick" to the uterine wall because the lining is too thin to hold it.
This is something that could happen but it is not a definite.

My Dr told me I didn't have to wait - just had to be taking prenatals for 3 months before.

I went off in November, and we aren't starting till July, but that was mainly b/c my prescription was up and I forgot to refill it. 
I heard 3 months as well.

You can start right away, though it may take time for your cycles to regulate.
For me, my cycles never regulated and I'm currently seeing an RE for PCOS.

DH and I are trying right away. I asked my OBGYN and was told it didn't matter.

you can start trying right away. I did, and i got preggo on my first month off of it (on my honeymoon!). There were no issues whatsoever...Goodluck!

I started taking prenatals right off the pill and we started right away. My OB told us to wait 2 cycles, but I heard its because if we got preggo...they can really pinpoint our due date. We tried and didnt get preggo anyway lol
I think its a good idea to start temping and stuff so that you can get an idea of of your cycle. The 1st two cycles off of BC were similar...but my 3rd cycle right now is a lot longer

they say 3 months. But we were just BDing and if we got prego then wonderful.
But it did take my body 3 months to adjust because after the first 3 months, my cycles have been longer.

I forgot to take BCP for 3 days and got prego right away. (was on bcp for 15 years for PCOS)
That said, was reading this board, thinking of TTC again.
