To my Heparin girls a ?
I have to switch from lovenox to heparin and I can't find a regular pharmacy to fill it. Does anyone know why this could be ?
If you didn't have any trouble can u share a drug store near bellmore / Wantagh that fills it.
I find it weird there's no place around CVS told me it was special order??

I had issues with this too. I had to order through Curascript and they delivered it to me. It was a whole big process and PITA.
Ask your Dr. I think CVS in Massapequa did have it, but then my insurance made me get it only through Curascript.

I used a pharmacy right on 110 near burtons flowers and bridal. They had to order it but got it for me the next day. The ran everything through insurance before hand to let me know how much it would be.
I find you have to go to the independent pharmacies. Bcvs and Walgreens don't carry this kind of stuff

i think its so strange. My SIL said she got it in CVS in Deer Park but thats too far for me to go.
I am going to call the massapequa location and see if I can get it.

wow this is good information to know ~ I am on Levenox and will be switching to Heparin also ~ I use CVS ~ I hope I don't have a problem when I need it.

CVS and Wlagreens might be able to order it for you. Just plan ahead and don't wait until the last minute.

Try Stuart pharmacy in Massapequa. Also, the Walgreens in Bethpage does compounds whereas the other Walgreens do not. Maybe they can supply hard to find drugs?

Just to let you know .I found out that for CVS the warehouse they use has a back order of heparin until mid June!
I went to Walgreens and they will order it for me.
