Girls on Heparin

Where did you get your prescription filled? I tried to fill it in Duane Reade today and they said they didn't carry it... Also, did you find it to be more painful and caused more bruising then Lovenox? and how many weeks were you when the dr. switched you over?

Thanks!!

Re: Girls on Heparin

I had mine filled at CVS. They had half of it an had to order the second half. I got the second half 3 days later. Make sure you get a RX for the syringes too since Hep is in vials you have to fill yourself.
I found it hurt much less then Lovenox and I had less bruising. I didn't need to ice with Hep and I did with Lovenox.

Thanks! I figured CVS will probably have it. How many weeks were you when you switched over?

I got it filled at target. They had to order it, but it came in the next day, not a big deal.
I switched at 37 weeks and although it doesn't burn like the lovenox, I am def. bruising a lot more.

I got it filled at CVS-usually within 24 hours. I don't remember if it felt any different than Lovenox. I switched at 37 weeks.
