I need some cheering up

Im very frustrated by all this today.
1. I still havent gotten a +OPK and I have ZERO CM and im SO scared the clomid dried me up
2. Someone told me about pre-seed but now its too late to order it
3. I hate these side effects
4. I think my cyst is back
5. I was supposed to BD cd10-17 every other and im on cd15 and still no +OPK so what do i do after cd17? I guess still BD????

I hate this allChat Icon

Re: I need some cheering up

I was at my RE this morning and read a pamplet on ovulation stimulation since that is my problem. I too am taking clomid - and the pamphlet said clomid makes you ovulate between CD15 & CD19 - don't ask me why those days, but that's what it said. Turns out that I am on CD15 and according to my bloodowork, I am surging, and therefore hopefully ovulating. Don't give up on theis cycle just yet. And yes, if you don't get a +OPK by CD17, keep on BDing every other day. You may never get that positive and still ovulate anyway!Chat Icon

Since you can't get the preseed in time, maybe pick up a bottle of Mucinex to help loosen the CM?

I think this is just an average... I did 6 cycles on Clomid and NEVER ovulated between CD15 and 19. I would never be close to surge until at least CD21 which would mean O would likely be CD23. I will say this again, this is why it's VERY important to be monitored by your doctor if you are on Clomid. There are many women on the IF board who also ovulated late on Clomid. Clomid also dries up your CM.

We also found out that my surge on Clomid was always a false positive on the OPKs. Only bloodwork and sono's showed when I was truly surging.

I agree with this. Clomid does not work the same for everyone. It took me 4 cycles to find the dose that helped me to ovulate. I am monitored each and every time for follicle growth and to see if I am surging (which I never do, I always need a trigger).
Are you being monitored? It is SO important. Also, you should have all your CD3 tests done, you should not be taking clomid if you have a cyst, it can be very dangerous. Also, if you have PCOS (not sure why you are taking clomid?) then there is a good chance OPK's won't work for you.

Have you seen the doctor since before you started clomid? IF I remember correctly, you took your last pill sometime last week, right?
You should call your doctor and go in for a sonogram and bloodwork to see what is going on in there.

If this month doesn't work out for you, I would head to a RE (if you aren't already seeing one). They will track your cycle with bloodwork and sonograms so there will be no guessing when you ovulate. You may also want to add IUI if your CM is drying up.
