I have been following this thread, waiting & hoping for the big finale...a fabulous, unexpected surprise.
To be honest though, I would be pi$$ed by now that this is still dragging out or disappointed in such a thoughtless gift. I have nothing against a magazine subscription - it's a great gift that lasts all year but if the OP has no interest in cars it makes no sense.

I agree that I would be mad as well, but since she mentioned that her husband was calling to make sure the January issue was going to be delivered, I would wait to see if the real gift is going to be a car like we all suspect. If it is the case (which I don't think it is) that the magazine is the real gift then I would be pizzed beyond belief.

My questions is....WHY hasn't the OP just straight up asked her DH what the heck is going on?? I could not go weeks just "wondering" why he got me a gift that was just SO not me at all.

I'm with you. No way I wouldn't have said something the moment the gift was given.
She has way more patience than me! I'm impressed...but if he doesn't come through I think she should order him the Women's Home Journal for his birthday!
