in complete shock here, and kind of annoyed wiht OB

first off, I am pregnant wiht #3. a completet suprise. iwas a 2 under 2 mommy, and now am going to be a mommy of 3 kids 3 and under. oy.
anyhow, i'm about 5 weeks already- i waited until i was a good week late to test. it never occurred to me that i may be pregnant. so i call OB today, they want me to come in for a blood test before scheduling first sono appointment. honestly, i would rather skip it, i know i am pregnant, thsi is not #1, its a drag to get babysitter.
anyhow, i'm beyoind thrilled, even through my shock.

That stinks! This is my first and they didnt take a test to confirm for me..... Cant you just take a home test? I would bring your kids and let them run crazy lol jk (although that is what most people seem to do at my dr. office)

First of all CONGRATS!!

Funny - with my 1st two pregnancies they made me wait 2 missed periods for me to go in for my 1st appointment. This time when I called, they made me rush in asap - I was also 5 weeks - for a sono. Complete waste of time except to get me worked up because they saw nothing but a pregnancy and yolk sac and I had to wait over 2 weeks to come back before they'd look again, send me for blood, etc. Did you talk to the OB or front desk? Wound up in my situation the front desk said they talked to the dr and in the end somehow the message was confused. Actually the 2nd appt wound up being a waste too because they made it at the office that didn't have equipment to do what was needed for the appt!!! The dr in the end felt so bad for me.

Myabe you can just go quick and get drawn at the lab?

Ask them to write you an rx?
