Kind of annoyed ,maybe I shouldn't be?
I live in a complex and I took my kids out to play , there was another mother outside ith her daughter( we know eachother,not like Im a stranger or anything) ! Well they have this little kiddy slide outside and my daughter flew over there and slid down the slide ( she is 5 ) ,I just wan't to add that it wasn't on their patio it was on the grass in front of their patio ! Anyway when I walked up to the mother she says to me " Oh hi ! I saw Lea run up to the slide and I was surprised she didn't ask first!" Now Im sorry ,maybe it is just me but I totally wouldn't care if someones child that I know or in fact I don't know came and went on the damm thing !! I was offended b/c there were plenty of times her daughter just started playing with my kids toys w/o asking ,thats what happens when you live in a community w/other kids ,and it doesn't phase me one bit !! But like I said I am not a stranger ,we spent all of last summer outside with our kids playing !! Vent over !!
ETA : I forgot to add that she said it in a way where she laughed it off like it was nothing but she said it a couple of times to get her point across that she thought it was rude she didnt ask !! Anyway please dont quote god only knows if she comes on here lol

yes, thats a bit weird...we were just at a party and we had my DS step 2 red car, everyone was just jumping in...it was fine, the only thing that bothered me is that they were shoving my DS out and parents were nowhere to be seen...

I cant see why she made it a big deal?
I can see if her dd was on it and your dd took it over.. I hate when mothers let that kid do that, but you didnt. She needs to get a grip.

Enh. Maybe she meant it in the way that your DD is usually very polite and askes first and she was surprised she didn't?
I can see why it would sit with you in a weird way, but I wouldn't take TOO much offense to it

I would have been taken aback since her child does the same. if she says it again, I'd probably say something along the lines of "I thought it was a neighborly kind of thing. I'll make sure she doesn't use your things without asking." If her kid comes over to your stuff, you need to tell her kid to ask his mom ...maybe she's trying to teach her own kid manners?

I think Im done talking to her anyway !! She called her friends 3 yr old daughter a little b*tch ( not to her face or anything but was commenting on the 3 yr olds attitude ) I dont want to be associated with an ignorant snob
