Split:

He brings it up/down and sorts it.

I wash/dry/fold. Occasionally he'll wash/dry. I always fold.

We put our own clothes away.

Let's talk laundry...

I do the laundry and all DH has to do is put his clothes in the basket. Every few days I look on his side of the bed and clean it up, but if he has a ton of dirty laundry and a basket full of clean folded stuff I already did then he is on his own. I will refuse to do his laundry for however long he left the clean ones sitting there. I find it very disrespectful to me. Even my 3 and 15 month old throw their clothes in the hamper.

I do the laundry. He would if he really had too.

We both do it. Sometimes while he's upstairs changing out of his work clothes he'll just walk across the hall & throw in a load.

I do all of the laundry except dh's work clothes. He does those.

It was supposed to be my job since he does most of the cooking and pretty much all of the dishwashing and taking out the garbage. But, I find he does it more often then I do. Whoops!

He does his own but once in a while he'll ask me to fold it & I get so mad because that's the worst part. It takes 2 seconds to throw it in, it's the folding that's annoying.

Laundry is the only chore I'm responsible for in the house. When I was pregnant, DH did that too. Every now and then he'll switch it (if he's going downstairs and I ask him to switch) or do a load on his own if he is in a cleaning mood, but I basically do it. He does put away his own laundry (I fold it).

before the baby DH did our laundry.
then the cleaning lady did it...
now our nanny does it


AND DH takes his own shirts to the dry cleaners/and picks em up

as my mother has said: cleaning lady/laundry done is the secret to a happy marriage

I do it all BUT DH used to do it when we lived in a 3rd fl walkup. He would have no problem doing it now if I asked for help.

Both...I do it more though now since I'm a SAHM, but before that, laundry was usually his job and when I go back to work, we will switch off who does it. He does it every once in awhile now.
