Laying down after DTD.....

Do you think this matters? Has anyone's DR told them to stay laying down after BD to 'help' the sperm or is this an old wives tale?

Laying down after DTD.....

I believe it works. My doctor said that since the vagina slopes downward, it does help. every time I BD'd I held my knees towards my chest for about 10 min after and stayed on my back for probably another 20 min after that. And I got a BFP. Worth a try!

Laying down after DTD.....

Funny you brought this up because my doctor told me last week that I HAVE TO lay with my legs and pelvis elevated for no less than a half hour!

I have no factual scientific evidence that it works but I did it with all of my children and got PG on the 1st try every time.

Re: Laying down after DTD.....

I'm pissed bc yesterday we had a quickie and I had to hurry afterwards to get dressed and all so hoping I didn't mess that up! Today I laid in bed after for like an hour so I think I have it covered lol

Re: Laying down after DTD.....

Well in my case, the three times I got a BFP on first try I didn't do this...

When we were TTC our second child I tried this method twice and didn't get pg either month, lol.

From everything that I know about TTC I know that when ejaculation happens, everything that needs to be there will get there regardless of laying down or legs up...I honestly don't think it matters

If you don't I don't think it's going to mess things up.

ITA. Whatever is going to swim upstream will do so whether or not you stay lying afterwards.

I will die laughing if I end up pregnant after a year trying by laying with my feet in the air for an hour LOLChat Icon

Re: Laying down after DTD.....

I think it def helps.

When I have my IUIs they fix the table to prop up my pelvis and I have to stay there for 10 minutes.

Just keeps everything going in the direction it needs to go

Re: Laying down after DTD.....

U will get split answers....

For every person who said yes it worked there is the same amount who did not and they both got pregnant

Anything u do whether its vitamins, holding ur legs up, pre seed etc etc when u have been trying for a short time odds r it is just u getting pregnant and not those things

It's like oh the second month I held my legs up,oh the third month I used pre seed ...it's prob just ur time to get knocked up bc contrary to popular belief it can take a few months

I know plenty of people who do it,my doc said no reason to at all

I figure whatever is going up there is on the way anyway and the ones lagging behind I do not want anyway lol
