Safer Alternative to the Bundle Me?
I like the convenience of the Bundle Me, but the more I read up on it the more unsafe I feel. We tried to put it on our Chicco Keyfit just now and it does not seem to fit correctly. We are returning it tomorrow. I am thinking maybe the shower cap cover types are safer? What is everyone using ?

Uh-oh... I have the KeyFit AND the Bundle Me. Why do you feel it's unsafe?

I didn't realize there was any safety issue. My sister used the original fleecy one with hers and had no problem. She really loved it! I put the original one on my registry.

It is only unsafe for carseat use. You can use it in your stroller though if you're planning on taking walks in the wintertime. I used it for both of my DS's for that purpose.

i didnt even know this!! and i have read that any additions to the car seat make it potentially less safe.
anyway, can soemone help me understand a little better? The regular bundle me the child "sits on" and the straps go throuigh it...therefore making it unsafe?? The new jj cole shower cap style one goes OVER the car seat and the child does not sit on it.....therefore not compromising the integrity of the safety harness???

We got the one that goes OVER the carseat.
They say not to get anything that will compromise the car seat.
The cover is good because it can go over it and can be taken off when not in use.

Didnt realize this was unsafe. I was only going to use the Bundle Me for walks in the stroller, not in the car seat. I'm too scared to put anything in the car seat because of safey issues.
Is the Bundle Me fine to use for JUST THE STROLLER/WALKS?
Someone already sent me the Bundle Me, but it's not safe, I'll return and get the other one.

No, I'm not getting both. I got the rain shield for the stroller figuring that would block the wind and just bundle the heck out of the baby in blankets.
