Bundle Me (& Alternative) Users
I was talking to my SIL and she said she doesn't like the Bundle Me because once the snow suit and blanket are on, that is enough.
Now am I crazy or aren't these type of things supposed to be used instead of the snow suit and the blanket? Isn't it just easier to use the bundle me? Is it enough on it's own to keep the baby warm?

Re: Bundle Me (& Alternative) Users
The bundle me and other types of covers are used to replace heavier clothes. DS was 2 months old last Dec. and when we went out, I put a sweater over his outfit and a hat on his head under the bundle me....

Re: Bundle Me (& Alternative) Users
THat's strange. I never put DS is a snowsuit at that age when he was small enough to be in the carrier. His regular clothes and then the bundle me. I did put a hat on him, but that was it. When we were outside for a moment I totally covered him with the bundle me if it was freezing and we were running to the car then flipped the part so only his head is sticking out
The whole pt of it is so they don't have to wear layers. DS gets sweaty anyway so I couldn't bundle him too much

Re: Bundle Me (& Alternative) Users
See, that is what I thought, thank you!
My DD is almost 4 months old, my niece is almost 3 months old. DD is miserable when I try to put a jacket on her. I can't imagine trying to force a snowsuit on every day. I don't think I would leave the house!

Re: Bundle Me (& Alternative) Users
If you use a bundle me you have no need for a snowsuit.
When DD was born (January) I just put her in a sweater and hat, thin blanket and the bundle me. She was toasty warm all winter.
I have the toddler size bundle me in DS's seat in my double stroller... we got rid of the infant one (it was pink, DH said NO WAY) and since DS is almost out of the infant seat I'm not buying another one.

They are used to replace the bulky outerwear. DS was in the carseat/carrier with his jammies and the baby's cozy world cozy cover, like a fleece showercap. If it was real cold I tucked a blanket in there, safe secure and always warm.

Re: Bundle Me (& Alternative) Users
Like the other poster said, the BundleMe is to replace the snowsuit or heavier winter coats.
When I went out with DS last winter, I would just dress him in his regular clothes & put a hat on him when he was in the BundleMe. If it was a windy or unseasonably cold day, I would use a blanket on top to block the wind on his face & just as extra warmth
