Found a new alternative to the Bundle Me! - UPDATE with quick review
The makers of the Bundle Me are now making a "shower cap" style car seat cover like the Posh Pouch/Kiddopotamus one, only it's prettier
I just came across this online. So far I think it only comes in the beige/khaki color and in pink. What I REALLY like is that in the pictures, it's shown on a Chicco carseat, which is what I have, so I know it will fit. And I like that the front "blanket" part can completely come off in case we go inside somewhere (the other ones just zip up and down and since my carseat is bigger than the standard baby carseats, it's hard to open it up enough if we go indoors).
I know a lot of mommies were asking what to use with their infant car seats this winter so I thought I'd throw it out there.
The JJ Cole Car Seat Cover:

ETA: It costs $29.99.
Just found some more info: The new JJ Cole cover eliminates the need for blankets and jackets! The car seat cover can also double as a stroller footmuff on some strollers to completely enclose your baby to keep him warm. This cover fits over infant car seats and standard size strollers, while allowing safety straps to rest directly on child. It comes in two colors (khaki and pink) and will retail for $29.95.
UPDATE - A quick review!:
So we got this yesterday and I tried it out on the way home. First, I love that the top zips open like that because I can leave it attached on one size and just flap it over in the car - he's basically completely uncovered so no overheating in the car. Then just zip it closed to go back outside.
Second, I have a fairly large carseat and at first I thought it wouldn't fit, but it does! Since the whole bottom is elastic, it will fit smaller carseats well too. I have a Chicco Keyfit 30 as an FYI (I had another showercap style cover and it doesn't fit all the way around the top of the carseat which is annoying and unattractive).
Third, the material is the same as the urban bundle me's - very nice. The khaki color is very nice in person too - definitely unisex.
Fourth, the packaging says it works on infant car seats and standard size strollers. I didn't try it on my city mini, but then again I'm not sure if that's considered a standard size stroller. Should be, so I'll try it out.
So all in all, I really like it. I will definitely have to still use a hat for DS when it's really cold since the opening for the face/head is large enough that I can see him getting cold. But there's a lot of space to put a blanket on the baby inside the closed cover so that's great too.

Babies R Us has it (at least online). Amazon sells it, but it's out of stock right now.
I'm going to check if BBB has it since I'm hoping to use a 20% off coupon

What stroller do/will you use? Because you will probably be able to use it with a stroller too.
Also, you have the Chicco Keyfit 30 seat, right? Jack is a big boy, I think he's similar in size to my DS (over 18 lbs, 26+ inches, right?). I honestly think my DS will be in his Chicco seat for at least half the winter. And even though it's super heavy now, I LOVE using it as a snap and go since he inevitably falls asleep in his carseat when we drive, so having this is way easier.
And I figure even if he outgrows it quickly, I can still try to use it in the futre with baby #2.
ETA: D, I'm not sure if it works with umbrella strollers... it seems like it would!

That's so funny! So why would their own stock photo show it on a stroller? Weird. Well, I have the toddler bundle me on my stroller and love it for that. It's still way big for DS, but it keeps him warm and he will grow into it, so that's another option.

I love this, but DD wont fit in it. Diana1215 was nice enough to lend me her Posh Pouch and her feet push it off because she is too long. Non-Puffy coats, blankets and home made by mommy poncho's will be it for us this winter. I really love the idea of these, but they aren't going to work for us.

Do you unzip it when you get into the car? I always did.
Maybe you can sell it on the Buy/Sell/Swap thread and buy this

Same here! I was wondering if or when they would come up with something like this! Oh and the cool thing is that I think baby would be warmer with this than with the bundle me, despite the fact that the bundle me has the plush backing behind baby and this doesn't, since this covers the baby's head and kinda encloses all the warmth!
DH picked it up at BRU today, so I will try it out and report back

Even unzipped he freaks out. That's a good idea. I am going to try again and see.

Re: Found a new alternative to the Bundle Me!
I had that last year for my DD and it was great! I just put a blanket on her and that over her seat. She was always toasty warm.
Etd b/c I wanted to add that DD hated it the 1st two times I used it then she suddenly liked it once I started to play peek a boo. I also unzipped it once we got into the car which helped.
