Monday's Gossip
Lindsay Lohan, actress, may not be getting as many scripts. But Lindsay Lohan, pop star, is ready to rock!
The rehabbing LiLo is looking to revive her recording career, we hear. Insiders say Lohan has let Universal Music execs know she's ready to deliver the third album she owes. But do they want it?
Guided by Casablanca label head Tommy Mottola, Lohan recorded the 2004 CD "Speak," which sold a respectable 1.6 million copies here and abroad. Her 2005 followup, "A Little More Personal," did more than 600,000 units.
Mottola had been after Lohan to get back into the studio, but she didn't have time with all the movies she was making. Then came her two DUI arrests and a charge of cocaine possession. Amid reports that insurance companies were afraid to bond her pictures, her schedule freed up.
"Lindsay loves music," a friend tells us. "She loves writing songs." Her track "Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)" grew out of her tormented relationship with dad Michael Lohan.
Lindsay is certainly less of a gamble as a singer. "A record by Lindsay Lohan costs almost nothing to make," says one exec. "She doesn't need a big band. You just give her some songs and session musicians. And, God knows, she already has name recognition."
The music business traditionally tolerates — make that glorifies — its addled artists. Look at the late, great Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Sid Vicious and Kurt Cobain. (Not to draw any grim comparisons, Lindsay.)
"Tommy Mottola knows how to handle divas," says a source, noting that the former Sony Music chairman's wives have included Mariah Carey and Thalia.
But lately, relations between Mottola and Lohan are said to have cooled. (He didn't return our calls.) And others at Universal Music are approaching her cautiously.
"As much as she wants to make another album," says one insider, "the feeling is she needs to get herself cleaned up. Then we can talk about it."

WATCH out, Jessica Biel - Justin Timberlake's womanizing ways haven't changed. Spies spotted the notorious flirt "sitting with a bronze-skinned brunette with long brown hair all night at a cocktail table near the dance floor" at an HBO party on the roof of the Tribeca Grand. "They were obviously into each other," said the spy. "It was just the two of them . . . he had no entourage at all." Another source dished to us, "He is notorious. He will [bleep] anything." A rep for Timberlake said, "I have no comment on his personal life."

Charlie Sheen and fiancee Brooke Mueller celebrated their engagement and her 30th birthday with a party at her parents' L.A. house last weekend. Emilio Estevez and Rebecca Gayheart were among those on the list.

DONALD Trump wants to try to whip the world's most famous trio of bimbos into shape and save their careers.
The Donald tells Page Six he's talking with Britney Spears about appearing on his upcoming "Celebrity Apprentice," and that Paris Hilton has also expressed an interest in being scrutinized by the mega-mogul. He's also planning to call Lindsay Lohan this week to see if she'd be willing to try to salvage her plummeting career on the show.
"We're negotiating with Britney right now. Can you imagine her doing it?" Trump told Page Six. "We're not sure what will happen. She's a [bleep]ing mess. And that little reality show she had did nothing. But she likes the idea of being on television and I think she'd be great." Hilton, he adds, "wants to be on, and we're thinking about it, but I don't know if we're going to do it."
And Lohan? "Another [bleep]ing mess. We haven't asked her yet, but I'm going to call her this week. It would a positive thing for her to do . . . for all of them," he says.
Hilton's spokesman, Mike Sitrick, said he wasn't aware of any deal but acknowledged that Trump and Paris's father, Rick Hilton, are friends. Reps for Spears and Lohan didn't get back to us.
In the meantime, Trump says he's already signed an eye-popping list of A-listers, B-listers and has-beens to be subjected to his notorious "You're Fired" treatment.
They include: Jim Cramer, Carmen Electra, Joan Rivers, Naomi Judd, George Foreman, original "Apprentice" villain Amorosa, Kimora Lee Simmons, Pete Rose, Dana Patrick, Tony Hawk and Jeff Gordon.
"There are more than a hundred others who want to be on the show," Trump said.
One big name who definitely won't appear is Rosie O'Donnell, who slung mud with Trump when she was on "The View." After Trump recently said he'd consider having her on, her rep shot back, "It will not happen in this lifetime or beyond."
In the celebrity version of "The Apprentice," the stars will raise money for various charities during the competition in which they vie to work for Trump.

SHE finally said "yes" to rehab, and sullied songstress Amy Winehouse means business. The beehived singer didn't go to a "spa-hab" facility, but instead checked into the more serious Causeway Retreat on Osea Island in the U.K. Our source told us the "gaunt-looking" rocker is shelling out $20,000 a week, but the fee includes access to "a recording studio on the island. A lot of singers go there for a 'retreat' or to record music and get a little help."
