I accept all Friend requests. I only send Friend requests to those I feel especially friendly with, I'd hate to be rejected.
I agree. Although, like many others have posted I never really understood the whole "friend" thing anyway.

I have a bunch and have never declined one. However...after the first flurry of invites when it was a new feature...I don't think I've ever used it.

On this site, I don't see a purpose. But I belong to other forums where it is utilized much more. But those sites have tens of thousands of people on them.
I accept all invitations, but I don't send any. I never got an invite from someone I don't like.
