Would this annoy you?
My cousin and I are very close. I am the godmother of one of his children and my sister is the godmother of the other. We have a small family, and his wife gave birth to their 3rd child on Friday. They had their first girl.
I was so excited for them and I called the hospital, sent texts etc. No name.
I texted him yesterday morning to see how they made out getting home and if they picked a name. He texted back. "We have a name and Janey will release it on Facebook when she is ready". This was 10am yesterday. No one posted or texted any more info.
Anyone else find this obnoxious, or am I just being moody b/c I'm pregnant?

Yes. My mom went. They said they didn't have a name yet. I would've gone but I'm all the way out East and she gave birth in White Plains & my DD has the sniffles. Didn't want to travel over 2 hours and not even be able to see the baby up close.

Obnoxious - I agree that it should be opposite. You tell your family and then Facebook. I have Facebook "friends" from high school that I don't even talk to on there. My entire family would be very annoyed with me if I did that.
