same here. Stop & Shop for meats and other stuff; Walmart for paper products & cleaning products. We go to a nearby organic farm for our veggies and fruit.

Have I mentioned lately how much I miss Whole Foods??? Chat Icon

Re: where do you

I find that Stop and Shop has the best deal on meats/poultry.

Target for paper products unless the supermarket has a really good sale on them.

Ugh! We usually hit Stop & Shop, Pathmark and Best Yet all in one swing!! Waldbaums if certain meat DH wants is on sale!

We really scrub the flyers and have different lists for different stores each week! Chat Icon

I usually go to Stop & Shop (only cuz its the closest) but I do all my produce at H-Mart. Stop & shop is more expensive than other stores, even when items are on sale you're not getting a great deal!

When we move Im switching to Pathmark.

Re: where do you

I shop at Stop & Shop and Costco mostly with an occasional trip to Shop Rite. I play something called the Grocery game so I save a lot of money on groceries. It helps me effectively clip coupons.

what is Best Yet?

Best Yet sells fresh produce/fruits etc. they also have meat, seafood, basically everything that you could need but are small.

BTW: I love Trader Joe's but it is a little far for me. I hear they are opening many new locations soon though and one is supposed to be right by me Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

but they have good sales. when they have Tide, Bounty, Charmin, trash bags, etc on sale, I stock up. when they have stuff on sale, it's even cheaper than Target or Walmart.

Re: where do you

I find Stop and Shop to be expensive.

I try to do grocery shopping at Shoprite in Plainview when I am there visiting my Dad. The same exact order is at least 20% less than Stop and Shop.

For example, a half gallon of soy milk at S&S was $4.69. At Shoprite or Fairway it's $2.99Chat Icon

That type of price difference is on so many things we buy so I try not to go to S&S.

Me, too! Hmmmm.
There is no Shop Rite by my house.

I was looking at the Pathmark circular online and they have london broil on sale for 1.99/lb and Ronzoni pasta for $.49/box.

here are the reasons why I do like Stop & Shop:

*it's walking distance.
*they have Tropicana OJ on sale every week. and my DH drinks OJ like it's going out of style!
*when they have a sale on Tide, Charmin, Bounty, other house hold items, they're even cheaper than discount stores. that's when I stock up. *They accept competitor coupons from King Kullen, so I save an additional $5-$10 every week just using those.
*I also get a lot of drug store items there. Again, when they have stuff on sale, it’s a good sale! What I find pricey at S&S is the produce.

I guess it all depends what you shop for.

I shop at King Kullen because it is in my town, they always have good specials and it is very very clean. There is also a Whole Foods, but I dont shop there very often because we never eat healthy food!
