we received a very small part of it from the co-op we sold. The rest of it was from our savings. I was putting $50/week in a savings account for a long time and it really helped when we needed a downpayment.

We haven't bought a house yet but we have our down payment from a life insurance settlement from when my mother passed away.

Not on the poll, but DH put the entire down payment on the house (we bought while we were just dating but made the decisions together). The house enabled us to use my salary to pay down my debt (and I have been debt free for 10 years!) and his salary covered the expenses.
