Same here. Not many people seem to have screen doors in NC. We're thinking of having one of those "slide into the frame" screen doors installed though--I miss keeping the door open when it's nice out!

Depends on the weather. If it's nice out I leave it open. I have a full glass screen door and lock it. My 75lb dog usually lays right in front of it paroling

I have 2 doors, a long plexiglass one and then the heavy front door. If I am home I usually keep the front door open and then the long door locked...my animals like to look outside but I dont want them escaping..they like to push the door open!

I always try to lock my doors. Once I was watching television and a drunk man walked in through my back door. I screamed and he ran away.

I usually leave the front door open and the screen locked...BUT my lovely two year old has OCD for closing ALL doors...
so it is usually closed....

Same here, except my dog is 40 lbs When the weather isn't nice, all doors are closed & locked.

Now.....closed and locked all the time. As I answered on spinoff thread - we were robbed last week. Nerves aren't even close to settled down yet.
I have a 70-lb pit bull and a 100-lb lab......they proved themselves poor watchdogs and protectors! They're lucky they're so darn cute and loveable.

We do not have a screen door, so obviously the door is always closed, but I am so neurotic that it is also always locked. DH gets so annoyed because I lock it everytime he walks out of the apartment.

If i were you guys i would keep your doors closed..I just read a story that happened in CT- A man followed a women and 2 children home from the grocery store--she left the door open and this man followed her in beat up her husband and raped and strangled the 2 young children and the mom then lit them on fire...horrible story. The husband who is a doctor was just realeased from the hospitals..to many sick pervs out there.
