How old was your DC and what was their weight/height?

With Jack he was 15 mnths (the requirements back then were a year)

He was about 30lbs and very tall.

Tyler is about 28lbs right now, and also tall for his age. He will stay rear facing for as long as possible. My goal is really to get him to 18 months. If I can go past that I will be REALLY happy - but I'm trying to be realistic.

DD will be 2 in 1 week and she is still rear facing with no plans to turn her forward. The car seat goes up to 35-40lbs rear facing and i plan on keeping it RF until then.

ds is 14 months and still rear facing.. i will try to keep him rear facing as long as possible...

DC are almost 23 months and 22 and 24 lbs and are still rear facing. I have no plans to turn them around as of yet.

10 months, DS was very tall 98%

DS was 13 months. You should never turn them before 1 year (although I think the recommendation now is 2 yo - but the law is 1 year)

DS was over 30lbs at the time and really tall. He has always been off the charts for both height and weight!

DD was 11 months old (she hated the carseat RF and we went on a 2 hour car ride and just never turned it back) plus she was much happier

DS was right before his 1st birthday

they were both over 20 lbs at the time

12.5 months.

DD#3 was due while DD #1 was 13 months so we had 2 weeks to get her adjusted to the new seat. And with 3 kids and having the oldest(who's not in a carseat) it was virtually impossible to have 2 rear facing carseats in the back and have her get into the car.

DD was about 20 months. SHe was starting to give us a REALLY hard time rear facing and was about a inch and a couple lbs away from the requirements on the seat we had anyway

DD is 16 months and rear facing still...

Just a question though, for those of you that turned your DC's...did they "enjoy" being in a car seat better? Because DD HATES it right now

about 14.5ish months. She was about 24lbs and 31.5 inches.

DS is 13 months and I have no plans on turning the seat around. For as long as he fits and is within the weight reqs for the rear facing position, he'll stay that way. It's the safest way to go!!!!

DD was 12.5 months. I found out that it was advised to wait when she was about 16 months and had already beed forward facing for 4 months and I could not turn it it back at that point. When I turned it for her, though, she was already 25 lbs. If she was smaller, I would have waited.

With Kaydyn the requirements were a year and 20lbs. We turned her right at a year...she was 20.5lbs.

With Ainsley we will prob wait until at least 2 to turn her around.

We turned the seat in my car a couple of weeks ago at 14 months. I didn't want to turn it till he turned two but there were several factors working against that. DS is extremely tall for his age, he would throw a tantrum every time I put him in the seat and then he figured out that if he put his legs out against the back of the seat I couldn't get him in it!! The kid is strong too! So I decided to turn it around, not happy about it being less safe though.

*for some reason he doesn't give me as hard of a time in DS's car (even though he has to sit indian style), so that seat is remaining rear facing for as long as possible.

DS right after he turned 1 and DD at 11.5 months. DD was 23 pounds and very tall to the point where her legs were all scrunched up rear facing. She is much happier now. My pediatrician told me that the American Pediatric recommendations are still 1 year and 20 pounds.

DS will be two next month, he is still rear facing, we have no plans to turn him around anytime soon. Our seat goes RF until 35 pounds and he is about 28lbs now.

DS was 13 months old and around 35lbs, 35" really big.

DD is small, still in her infant seat. She'll be 1 in a few days. She'll probably be rear facing for a long time.
