When did you first introduce playdough to your DC?
10.5m DS loves touching everything. I think he'd really like playing with playdough.
Is he too young for playdough?

They are still putting things in their mouths at 13 months, I don't think we'll do playdough for awhile yet.

fh insisted on buying dd some for xmas  at 18 m, at first she put it in her mouth but after telling her no a few times she stopped. she likes it but i try to avoid it as much as possible, its just a PITA

My 13 month old puts EVERYTHING in her mouth, so play doh is definitely off the table for a while.

You gals can make homemade play dough it's really easy, that way if they taste it it's not a big deal
1 cup flour (not self-rising)
1/2 cup salt
1 cup water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1-1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
Mix in saucepan over low heat. (It does not have to heat long.) Dough is ready when it rolls into a ball. Keep dough fresh in an airtight container. If you need to make different colors, add food coloring while mixing over heat.

My DS started playing with it at about 20 months. My DD just started playing with it without putting it in her mouth and she is 15 months.

I think I might wait until the summer when we can play with it outside...DS will be 2 1/2...he has played with it before, but only a few times.

we got it for DS at christmas when he was almost 18 months old. he LOVES it and plays with it everyday! best toy ever!

I haven't introduced it at home, although she got some for Christmas. She was introduced to it at daycare at 21 months.

DD is 4 & I still do my best to hide the play-doh It makes a huge mess. I wouldn't consider introducing it until DC has stopped putting everything they can touch in their mouth.

Maybe around 20 months? I know he wasn't sticking things in his mouth anymore when we did. That would be my main concern.
