Re: When did you first introduce TV?

I just introduced it recently at 4 months - and even now at 5 months - i don't like the thought of putting her in front of the tv for too long - we try to keep her occupied in other ways.

She isn't totally captivated by the tv anyhow - and although she looks at it in amazement when it is on - she starts to get fussy after 5-10 minutes of watching an Einstein video.

I think she has plenty of time for tv - but it is helpful at times to keep her occupied when making the bed or doing some work around the house.....

Re: When did you first introduce TV?

DD glances at tv when we are watching it, but we don't plan on plopping her in front of it anytime soon.

Re: When did you first introduce TV?

DD is almost 2 months old. as a last resort the other day when she was upset and nothing else worked - I put her down in her bouncy and put an einstein movie in - she seemed to like it and calmed down. I only let her watch for 10 min or so.

4-5 months, but he didn't really watch too much or too long until after a year.

2 months.. he watches noggin on and off in the morning. I am out of the house by 11:30 most days so i would say he watches a total of maybe 2 hrs a day. It def helps me for getting things done in the house.

1 year. We watch Sesame Street every morning. That's about it. Once in a great while I'll put on Noggin, but it's rare.

Re: When did you first introduce TV?

Does Baby einstein count?? Or just Tv programs? I have the tv on when I am cleaning as background noise, but DD is not "in front" of it. I am confused about this. Is having the TV on as background noise bad for my DD?

Re: When did you first introduce TV?

DD is 3 months old and I've tried a couple of the Einstein videos but she really doesn't seem interested. DH introduced her early to "Yankee Baseball" and now when she is in her swing and it is on, she seems to "watch" it. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

On a side note, when she is especially fussy, DH "filibusters" her with "Yankee Baseball" and it seems to quiet her!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
