DS is 9 months and he CAN hold it (he holds his sippy) but he doesn't want to! He wants me to hold it...

DD turns 1 in a few days, and still doesn't hold her own bottle 100% of the time. She does know how to do it, and does it when needed, but she prefers us to hold it so she can snuggle with us and play with her hair or ear while she eats.
I know I should encourage it more, but since she does know how to do it, I don't worry about it. She holds her own sippy cup though.

he hates holding his own bottle, he eats a bit and then starts playing with it... he likes straw cups the best (he is 1 now)

never. she's a little over a year.
i don't mind - she only gets 2 bottles a day, in the morning and at night, so i like that time with her.

Charlie was early Deb, I wanna say 4-5 mos but didn't know to tip it up to get more liquid until about 6 mos.
and why would AJ WANT to hold his bottle when Mommy will do it for him?!  Smart boy!
