What time do you use your OPK?
Also, do you guys not drink anything or pee for a long time before you test?

i am following deannas plan and she said in the afternoon or after work - no morning
you can drink or pee for at least 4 hrs before you do it

I use the smiley ones, first thing in the morning. It is the only time of day I can do it consistently, so works for me.

usually around 4pm. i always read / heard it was better to test in the afternoon after holding 3-4 hours

You can use FMU with the digital  OPKs

I take OPKs when I get home from the office. I drink my typical water, but avoid going to the bathroom after lunch.

I only use the clearblue easy digitals and to be honest, it's best to try 2x a day. There have been times it's been neg in the am and pos in the pm. If you look on amazon you can get a 20 pack of the digitals for a decent price. In the store you can only get 7 in a pack I believe.

I did mine 2x a day morning and night bc I am a little older and this your cervix stays open for a MUCH shorter time so being as close to knowing the time you can of ovulation can help .
but I also know it depends on the type of test you are using. . and best avice i got was once you know when you get your surge start to  a day before bc the little swimmers can live up to 3 days in there but once the window is shut it's shut - so it's better to have them waiting at the window!
