I keep it ranged at 68--70.
I was thinking the same thing! I keep it at 68 all the time and am still always cold.
I would MELT if my house was 68-70. 
We're all fine at night between pj's and blankets. It's comfortable, I don't like to feel "heat" in the house, cooler works for us.

What temperature do you keep the house at night ?
The thermostat is in our room, we keep it 62-64 depending. The kid's rooms get much warmer than ours. I try to make it so DS's room (the warmest) is 67-70 max, it gets really stifling in there if it gets any warmer.
eta- Our house is really solid and holds the heat. I remember growing up my parents house was kept at 70 on the thermostat and I was always freezing. In our house now 65-66 during the day feels very comfortable.

If you think about it, how COLD is 62 really?
I mean if it was 62 degrees outside right now we'd all be nice and comfy walking around out there.

68 all the time and I'm usually still chilly. Every once in a blue moon when its super cold DH will turn it up to 70.

For those of you that keep the temp less than 68 is this only at night when in bed or in the evening when you are home? If you are awake and it is 62-66 what do you wear a lot of layers?
Ours is set at 62 from 10pm to 7am. The day temp is 67. However we really don't get below 64 unless it's below 20 out at night. We keep it set so low to save money on oil and also bc we have baseboard heat and it's loud when it's on. It doesn't feel cold at all to me. We just use a comforter and a throw blanket.

Hrm.. my thermostat *SAYS* 73 but the reader in my daughter's room says 69 and it feels cooler some nights (like when we hit the 20s)
Pre kid (aka in NY without central HAC).. I'd keep it cooler. But other than her room the house is totally open at night (we don't close our door) so the cold seems to seep in on the non carpeted areas. LOL
But conversely the summers we keep our AC pretty high at 79 or so, since our flooring cools the home easier.

71-73 day and night. My heat is on 73 right now and I'm still snuggled under a blanket!

I am always cold , need a lot of heat , renting , so heat is good and we don't pay extra for heat
