Something about the name Bruce that gets me. For some reason, the name reminds me of prunes. 
I love the name Cameron for a boy. But DH went to school with someone who ruined that name for him. oh well!

My kids are already done but we had arguements over his list of guidette names (Theresa, Ginamarie). Taken alone or with a more generic last name, I have no problem with them. Coupled with our last name they screamed big haired gum chewing b_tch who drives a TransAm and wears a big Italian horn.

As a teacher, my list of names I will not name my children is growing.
One of them is Michael.
ETA: forgot about a few more...
Kaylee... I love the name, but both Kaylee's I had when I worked at the daycare were such whiners
And Christopher is a big no-no.
Also Daniel. I was once bit by a Daniel.
And probably not Brandon.
Mind you.. most of these names I really have nothing against except for the fact that I had bad experiences with children with that name.

Oh yeah, my Aunt has a whole list of names she wants to give me. She said it grows every year
She has, however, told me to name my first boy Enrique.

That's so funny. MIL was a teacher for 30 years and any name we mentioned she would have a story about kid with that name who was trouble.

I could never do Jen (dh's ex's name) or Paco (my ex but that would never come up anyway).
I also wouldn't use same name as any of our nieces or nephews...

Oh, and I forgot, Robert, William and Brian are also out. Not because I dislike them, but because almost every male in my family is named one of those three names.
Both Grandpa's and my Dad are William
Brother, step-Grandfather, and 1 cousin are Robert
And I have 3 cousins named Brian. My family has no originality

I agree with whomever mentioned being a teacher. It REALLY limits the names I would ever give my child. Luckily, I have no Ava's...YET!

I could never name my daughter Amanda, Alison, Jamie or Olivia all of which are BEAUTIFUL names but for personal reasons just couldn't. Cant think of any I dont like off the top of my head for a boy though.
