Having a bad reaction to the meds like poor Hayley did

I am afraid I will need a c-section again.
I am going for a VBAC and will do everything in my power to avoid having surgery again, but there is only so much I have control over  Labor pain was bad for me, but I would take that over a c-section any day. An epidural helps with the labor pains, c-section pain lasts for weeks and there is nothing you can do about it.

One word.... episiotomy!  
I truly think I could go drug free if it wasn't for that, I have had kidney stones and they say that is the closest pain to child birth.

after tearing BADLY with ds and now being all disfigured down there i think would 100% opt for the episiotomy instead

Not seeing my 3 year old DS for 2 days and the thought of having a C-section because them I won't see him for 4 days. I will be so sad being away from him. Just thinking about it makes me cry.

I am scared of a C-section, I was with DD as well and came close to having one.
Unless you are not going to eat for a day or two before you go into labor, you are going to poop on the table. You use the same set of muscles for pushing that you do for #2 so it happens. The nurses clean it up so quick, you may not even know it happened.

Honestly, nothing. No wait I'm lying, I hope to God I dont get a crazy roommate again who popped percosets like tic tacs and asked me to get her some too, or whose family took all
the chairs and put their coats on my bed when I went to the NICU to visit my baby, or who kept opening my curtain and let their daughter change my tv...oh I could go on and on
I had labor, I've had 2 c-sections, I pretty much know whats what, as long as he gets here and is fine

me too and im also petrfied of an epi!
Just FYI- I had an episiotomy and I didn't even know it until the doc was sewing me up afterwards. I didn't feel a thing!

Not true! I had a disgusting, greasy meal the night before I had DD. Potato Skins, buffalo wings- you name it.
When I was pushing her out I was thinking in my head- why did I do that?? I told the doctor I felt like I was going to crap in his face. He said, "don't worry- we like that!"
I didn't poop, and I was pushing the right way because I got her out in 22 minutes. It doesn't always happen!

not scared, but more upset that I can't have a vaginal birth.
DD was a c/s, and my ob does not recommend vbac's. so I will have a date in a few weeks for my c/s.
i hated labor and will never have to go through it again, but I wold do it if I meant I could deliver my child vaginally.

i am terrified of the afterbirth pain and recovery 
im not afraid of the labor or delivery, just the healing process and having to get back to everything and caring for DS immediately

I am terrified of needing an Epi or a c-section. Other than that, I figure mother nature has gotten it right for this long.

I am afraid of not making it to the hospital in time. I am going to have to wait for my mom to come and watch dd or for her to come and drive me to the hosp. I was born in 20 mins and dh was born in 2 hrs. both second children and both very quick!!!
The other that i am nervous about is the time away from dd. It breaks my heart to think about!!!

I'm scared of the everything!!!
I have issues with hospitals...you see in 2005 I coded after routine knee orthroscopic surgery, which lead to fear of dying, anxiety around almost anything related to surgery and anything medical procedure related.
So my one big fear is that something will go wrong like it did the last time I went into a hospital and this time I'll die.
I know morbid...and I try not to even think about it but sometimes I can't help it.

Me too! I am having nightmares about my water breaking at work because I work over a removable tile floor that has computer wires under it. My fear is that it breaks here and I short out the whole building!!

deanna, dont be scared. My sister had a section (yes I know, everyone is different) but she had NO issues, I swear, she was sitting on the floor with her DD 3 days after she was born. She said it was cake Her incision was SUPER low, maybe that made a difference! It would make sense, they didnt have to cut through as much muscle and it was not where she bends. Perhaps speak with your doc about that?!
