I told the doctor I felt like I was going to crap in his face. He said, "don't worry- we like that!"
I love that response. That's the kind of Dr I need- humor is the only thing that gets me through this.
And as for what I am scared of...
EVERYTHING.
I am not sure how I will even make it through andy aspect of birth.
I am NOT good with Drs, Hospitals, medical procedures, pain, etc

i actually have to add that my biggest fear may actually be going into labor while dh is at work in the middle of a blizzard... that last thing i need is to have a nassau county pd ambulance take me to the hospital since i know ALL of them

I feel alittle better after reading this post...I thought i was the only one that is scared....This is our first child and i am SOOOO NERVOUS....not knowing what is going to happen makes me freak out.. Thank god for Dh...he will support me and put me in my place if i get crazy..hehehe

While I don't have to worry about the blizzard. . . DH owns his own business and I have at least one nightmare each night that I go into labor while he is at work alone -- and his customers won't let him leave to take me to the hospital! Even after I go down to the store IN LABOR and try to close the gates myself. . .

Now that I've been through it once I'm no longer afraid of the pain or of tearing, which were my biggest last time and both happened and I lived.
I think right now my biggest fear is having the same doctor deliver me as last time. I hated him. We were fighting. I wanted to break his nose almost as much as I wanted the baby out. That's a LOT.

needing a c-section. I didn't need one with DD so I hope I won't need it again. Also, i'm not looking forward to shaking/shivering the whole time too. Nobody told me ahead of time that that could happen.

I am not scared about to much with the delivery. I have delivered many babies on my job in odd and different situations. I am planning on working till the end. I am on desk duty now and hope my water does not break at work I will never hear the end of that. I am also worried about something being wrong with the baby. I feel that I can handle a lot when it comes to me but I just want all to be perfect for my angel.

That I'll be too early at the hospital and they will insist drugs! I'm trying to go without.

glad to see i am not the only one who has dreams about dh's work interferring with the birth of a baby.... i have had this anxiety over this for months... more then with ds when he was still working in queens
