Were back with our little boy
Thanks everyone for the warm wishes and all the kind words. we actually got out of the hospital on friday afternoon but had friends and family over yesterday so i just got time now to sit and write.
heres the quick story with some pics
admitted tuesday morning. zero dilation put on pitocin at 8am. by 130 i was 4 cm dilated and they asked if i wanted an epi so i said sure. they uped the pitocin and by 4pm i felt alot of pressure. asked for the doctor and they couldnt locate him. he showed up at 5pm and said were ready. by the time they suited up and got their stuff together it was 530 and i pushed 4 times and he was born at 5:33pm.
michael john jr was 9lbs 8 oz. 5 oz lighter than my daughter and the labor and birth was much easier. i feel pretty good to be honest. only thing is the after birth cramping was really bad. didnt have it with my daughter but ended up taking motrin and some other pain pill the first 24 hours becuase of the cramping. besides that i feel great. came home from the hospital unpacked my bags and just hung out.
MJ is a good baby. sleeps alot and has his days and nights confused. i tried to keep him up today during the day since i only got 3 hours of sleep last night. my milk came in yipee that was friday night so hes been nursing like a champ. had to start pumping since my body is producing way too much milk for him to handle. all in all things are great. my daughter was a little jealous and rough with him at first but its getting better. if i can only get her to sleep earlier life would be easier.
oh and huntington hospital was great. the staff was nice the food was decent and i got the private room which is so worth it!

My 2nd delivery was similar to yours, so much easier and felt really good right away.

Your children are both just beautiful...and you really look great yourself!!!
I am also delivering at Huntington Hospital...My friend always calls it the Huntington Hilton because she has delivered there three times and has had wonderful experiences all around.
How did you go about requesting the private room? How much more $$ was it? I have Empire insurance and haven't paid anything for my pregnancy except a few copays...I'd love to have a private room when my time comes in about eight weeks!!!

I've always been very pleased w/Huntington Hospital Maternity ward too.

Congratulations! He's so cute!
Just a side note, if you have too much milk and you're pumping your body is just going to produce even more milk. I had this problem with my DS in the beginning too. Try feeding him while you're laying down or reclined with him on top of you and nurse on just one side per feeding. You could also express a little milk just before you feed so that it's not coming out so fast.
