Weight Estimate
What was the difference between the estimated birth weight at your last sono and your baby's actual birth weight?

Weight Estimate
2 days before dd was born they told me she was already estimated to weight 8lb 14oz - so they anticipated her at around 9lbs she was born 8lb 5oz

Re: Weight Estimate
All I know is they kept telling me she was measuring small- all through my third tri. My belly was too small, the baby was measuring small. 20th percentile, etc etc.
I had to go for countless growth sonos and NSTs and dopplers at the end.
And she was born- one day before her due date- at 7 lbs. Those estimates are always way off

Re: Weight Estimate
My estimates were very accurate. At 32 week growth sono they estimated he'd be 7 and a half pounds at birth. The week before birth he was estimated at 7 lb 10 oz. The day before birth he was estimated to be 7 lb 12 oz. He was born 7 lb 11 oz.

Weight Estimate
My dr. refused to give me estimates. DD was 2 weeks late and I had sonos every few days in the end. I kept asking if she was going to be huge and they would just brush me off. Thankfully she was only 7lb 15oz.

Weight Estimate
Mine was very accurate. They estimated close to 9lbs and he was 8 lbs 14 oz. But a close friend of mine had her daughter estimated to be the same, close to 9 lbs and she was barely over 6 lbs lol. They aren't always accurate, for sure.

Re: Weight Estimate
3 days before DS was born they told me he was already measuring 7 lbs 14 oz (at 39 weeks) and that if we went to 40 weeks or longer he would be 8+ lbs. DS came on his own at 39w3d and weighed 7 lbs 1 oz.

Re: Weight Estimate
With my DD, they insisted she would be well over 10lbs!!! She was born at 8lbs 8oz. Big difference.
With my DS, they were estimating 7 to 8lbs. He was born at 9lbs 4oz. Again, totally off.
My kids were head down and verrrry low so it was hard to get good measurements towards the end.

Re: Weight Estimate
The sono tech was literally just a few ounces off.
She prides herself on being very accurate.
She estimated between 7 lbs. 1 oz. and 7 lbs. 5 oz.
Julian was 7 lbs. 2 1/2 oz.

Weight Estimate
2 days before DD was born at 39wks exactly, they estimated she was 7lbs 1oz. She was born at 6lbs 3oz. They did say she was so low that the estimate was probably not accurate though.
