Warning about sleep positioners.

Please watch the video…I have heard so many horror stories about sleep positioners, but so many people continue to use them.

Please pass this along to anyone you know with little ones, or that have little ones on the way

I have the Inclined to sleep positioner and my pediatrician ok'd it. My daughter really moves alot and I think I would feel worse without it. I am comforted that she is on an incline and stays in position in case she spits up. I watch her like a hawk anyway Chat Icon Some sleep positioners are really cheap and crappy but I highly recommend the Inclined to Sleep one.......sorry

I had one like this, with the air vents...I wonder if this is still considered equally dangerous? Jake doesn't need it anymore, but I did use it until he was able to roll well.

Re: Warning about sleep positioners.

How sad was that!?!

I just said to my husband that we need to take off our bumpers because they are very cushiony(sp?) and Steven loves to sleep with his face up against!

I like the bumpers and if the baby is comfy I would leave them. sammy had them in his crib until he was finished with the crib. (sorry)

I originally had the Air Flow Sleep Positioner on my registry, but I took it off because I read an article that said it contained TOXIC CHEMICALS!! Here's one article that talks about it article
I bought a different one, but I haven't really used it much. I think I will get rid of it. Why take the chance?

I use the positioner but Jacob is swaddled so tight in the miracle blanket, he doesnt move an inch. Once he is out of the swaddle in a month or so i will remove all objects from the crib. I even have stuffed animals in the very corners of the crib. But again, thats because I know he cant move. The swaddle is like a straight jacket. JMO

Re: Warning about sleep positioners.

last night was the first night Alyson wiggled OUT of it.....she was kicking so hard from her gas that only her legs were left in it.

I took it away for the rest of the night. When I take her to bed with me, she seems to like to roll on her side and sleep with her face up against my pillow (I put my arm there to keep breathing space)
