Re: Sleep positioners...

I was thinking the same thing... we use the sleep positioner that prevents Alex from rolling over because at 2 weeks she started rolling onto her side and I got nervous... but now I'm thinking I may be stunting her development at this point by keeping her in the positioner so long... any ideas?

Re: Sleep positioners...

Jesse started squirming out of his positioner around two months and started rolling over about two weeks after that, so we just stopped using it. Our doctor told us once they can control those movements, the positioner is no longer needed.

We never used a blanket. We have one of those baby sleeping bags that Jesse wears. Here's where we got ours because we didn't want fleece:

Baby bag

Our doctor said if he wants to sleep on his belly there's really nothing we can do about it. It was very scary to me at first, but he does sleep very soundly on his belly and we have the Angelcare so it makes us a little more comfortable with the idea.

I put him in the swaddle me...however his arms dont get swaddled...so its like a fleece pouch...so he prob dosent really need a blanket...

I have an angelcare too....but I think id still be so nervous if he was sleeping on his belly....

Is it bad to continue the positioner...hes almost 3 months... Hes not TOO BIG for it or anything...???

i still use it at 4 months, he likes it, it gives him security. you can stop using it whenwver it seems to be waking your little one up due to wiggling.

YUp, I took it away one night and every time he wiggled he woke up! NO THANX! That positioner is a lifesaver for me.
