Voting this morning

I went to vote on my way to work and the poll worker was commenting on how she was shocked on how many people have voted so far and it was only 8am. I have also seen some friends FB statuses saying that their polling place was packed at 6:15am this morning. Just found it interesting.

A lot of people probably go before they get on a train into the city for work.

There was a line when i went at 8. it usually slows down now since most people are at work already.

Re: Voting this morning

There is very little that would get me out of bed to be anywhere at 6 am
Unless it's a flight to a tropical location.
and even that is difficult.

Sleep trumps EVERYTHING. (no pun intended) Chat Icon

I'll vote tonight AFTER work

I was number 2 at 6am but, only because I got out of my car first - the parking lot was mobbed.

Most people I know voted between 6am-8am. I voted around 8:30 am.

Voting this morning

I went at 6:15, I live in a small district so it wasn't too packed. Many of my staff were late due to long lines at the polls. Some even had to leave because it was a 45 min wait and didn't want to be too late to work. Crazy!

Voting this morning

I was at my polling place at 6:30am and it was crowded. Definitely more crowded at that time than years past. Even with the crowds I was out in a half hour.

We went around 6:30 and it was busier than I thought it'd be. I'm *super* bummed they didn't have stickers for us and all the workers looked at me like I was crazy when I asked!

I was bummed too!

I was number 96 at about 7:30 this morning and there were a good 10 people behind me. I was surprised that it was that busy so early in the morning.

Because everyone thinks by going super early they will beat the crowds. So it's become the opposite effect now. It's super crowded early and dead later on.

I went at 7am and waited on line for 45 minutes. I was also really mad they had no stickers that said "I voted".

Re: Voting this morning

I went around 8:00 and my polling place parking lot looked crazy, but inside there was virtually no line. I was assuming most morning people went out really early so they could get to work on time. I usually go after work, but I was really afraid I'd be waiting hours later on today - and in the cold.

I went at like 9, and the line was pretty long for me. There are several Precincts in our polling place, and our line was the longest. My machine registered 231 voters, but there were several machines in there.
