Does anyone have any experience with this supplement?

Re: Vitex
I started taking it three months ago in the hopes of regulating my cycle (in conjunction with other things, so I would O earlier and trying to lengthen my luteal phase).
First month, I took it the entire month b/c we skipped a month of TTC and my cycle seemed improved.
Last month, I took it only up til O b/c we were TTC and you're not supposed to take Vitex if pg. My cycle was its normal irregular self.
This month, I should be O'ing soon...so I'll see if there's any difference.
I'm just starting with Dr. B also.

Re: Vitex
Thanks so much for responding! Do you normally O on your own? Also how much are you taking a day? Thanks again!

Hey, no problem! I think I O on my own (according to LH surges and CM) and will hopefully have that confirmed by the RE.
Part of my cycle issues are irregular length, late O, and short luteal phase.
I felt that the Vitex helped me O a bit earlier and lengthen my luteal phase (although, it could've just been a fluke that month! who knows!)
I have Nature's Way Vitex 400 mg. The directions say: Take 1 capsule two to three times daily for eight to twelve weeks. Thereafter, take 1 capsule daily. Vitex works gently. Best results obtained with continuous, long-term use. Caution: do not use during pregnancy.
HTH!

Re: Vitex
Worked for me! I had similar issues as Smiles111. Irregular length, late O, and short luteal phase. I went to a RE and was told to start clomid & IUI, but I was not emotionally ready so decided to wait 3 more cycles. In the meantime I had a HSG done and started taking vitex. I got pregnant with my son 2 months after the HSG and first month on vitex. I think it was a combination of the two. I O'ed on CD 14 with vitex, which had never happened before CD 28. I was TTC for 14-15 months. My son is now 26 months old. I got it from GNC, 500mg. I took 1 pill each night before bed. Give it a try! Good luck! And feel free to FM me with any questions.

from what I read online it could help PCOS and people who don't O on their own but could take 3-6 months!

Re: Vitex
Thanks so much, after 11 months what's 3-6 more Seriously though, if it works I don't mind waiting a few more months at all.
