Very Sad Update
Ladies, I am so sad I don't even know how to begin.
Yesterday we had our first scan and learned that we lost our little baby. I should be 14 weeks and the baby measured 8 weeks 5 days and had no heartbeat. The fact that I showed no physical symptoms of miscarriage and that for 6 weeks we believed we had a healthy growing baby inside me has made this so much more difficult. We are as shocked and devastated as you can imagine.
I am just so thankful that I was able to secure a last-minute private 'early' scan, as my first official appointment with my OB wasn't going to be until Feb 23 (the health-care system where we live is not to the standard that it is in the US and I feel so angry about it, after all this). It would have been unbearable to have waiting that long and received this news.
My DH and I are trying to take this a day at a time and but we are just heartbroken. We would really appreciate your prayers during as we try to come to terms with this.
I will be thinking of all of you and wish you the happiest and healthiest 9 months as you await your beautiful children. This is such a joyous time for you all and I am truly happy for you. I hope I can rejoin you again in the near future.
