upset
So, I never posted but a couple of weeks ago I gota BFP naturally on a break cycle. i was super excited, went for my betas and everything looked good. yesterday i had my first sono appointment at 6 1/2 weeks. I went to the restroom in the RE's office and i started cramping and bleeding very heavy. When the RE did the sono he did not see anything in my uterus so he needed to make sure it was not ectopic. I went this morning again and he saw a sac in my uterus. I am still waiting on my beta of today hopefully it went down from yesterday. I need to go back next Tuesday and make sure that my beta is down and I pass everything naturally. I do not want to go through a D&C again. I really thought this pregnancy was it. This is my second m/c the first one was la blighted ovum and this one I dont know what it is. i want to do a recurrent m/c panel. Does anyone know what I need to ask for? Thanks

Re: upset
I am so sorry that this happened to you.
I asked my dr. for a blood test for clotting disorders. However, I have since learned that there are a number of autoimmune issues that are also frequently included in a pregnancy loss panel. If you go to the Millenova Lab's website they have a description of all their tests, including a Recurrent Pregnacy Loss panel.
FYI, from what I understand the autoimmune issues are a bit controversial, so not every doctor thinks these blood tests are necessary. But it couldn't hurt to ask. Good luck and God bless.

Oh no, I'm so sorry. Dr. Braverman does an extremely extensively RCP panel...there are like 20 different tests...not sure the names of them.
Again, I'm so sorry for your loss

Re: upset
I'm so sorry. I would definately ask the RE about the recurrent m/c blood work. I know my former RE automatically does it after 2 m/c's. Once you get the results back it could be something as easy as taking a baby aspirin daily. Dont be upset my any diagnosis....knowing the issue and treating it is key. You know if you need anything I'm here....sending you lots of love

Re: upset
I'm so sorry. I pray that you don't need a D&C. I had two chemicals/early miscarriages but never had a work-up. I hope everything goes well.

Re: upset
I am so sorry I know how painful this is. like previous posters have said -I would check for clotting issues - chromosomal issues, autoimmune-I am sure most Dr. will know what type of blood work they need to do.

Is it def a m/c? If he saw the sac and the numbers keep rising, there could still be a chance right?

I wish. I live in Rockland County and work in Manhattan. Do you think I could go for him, just for some testing? Maybe take a day off and go get testing done with him?

Honestly, I wouldn't make the appt w/ him. If you can't see him on a regular basis, I don't know if it would be worth it? (With everything you hear about him on here....u want to go to him, right? I commute every day too so there's no way I could get to him but wish i could too.)

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear your news. I too had 3 unexplained misscarriages in the last year but I never went for a MC Panel. I wish you the best of luck.
