Uhhhh typo on birth announcement wwyd? Update!!!!
I'm so mad at myself! I ordered ds's birth announcement and of course I was trying to do too many things at once and there is a typo!
In small print it says welcomed with love by and dh's name is spelt Johm instead of John. Totally my fault !
Wwyd
-Ignore it and send it out
-Add a little note inside saying "oops mommy was a little busy and made a mistake..."
-redo them
So mad!
Update:
I called shutterfly and they re did them!! I only have to pay shipping!! So exctied!!!!

I'd send the little note. The truth is, most people look at the announcement and toss it in the trash. I just don't see a need for the added expense. Maybe I'd redo a couple just for us, our parents, and grandparents.

Same here. Good idea with a redo for a couple.
What color is the font? Could you take a sharpie and try to change it?

It's her DH's name that us spelled wrong not the baby.
You said it's small print? I would probably send them as is. Not worth the money IMO. Truth is, nobody really cares about your birth announcements but you. People are more interested in the pictures on the announcement than the print.

I'd see if you could order a few more with the correct spelling. I know grandparents tend to want to save these things.
But I do agree with other posters that in most cases, unless it's a really close friend or family member, these things get tossed.
I've even accidentally tossed cute Xmas card pics of my nieces and nephews because it was lumped after the holidays with the other cards I considered "clutter".

How long ago did u order them.. If they didnt go into printing yet u may be able to call and have them fix it.. I had to do that one time.

I contacted shutter fly to see if there is anything they will do to help me..fingers crossed
Thinking ill reprint some and for the people I know really don't care sending a cute note with it.

I'd redo, especially on a name misspelling.
If it was something like an 's or s' mistake, I'd leave it because most people won't notice.

It would bother me a lot that DH's name is spelled wrong but it would bother me even more to spend the money to have them reprinted. I would send them out.
