Transition Lenses for glasses?
Anyone have transition lenses for their DC's glasses? My 4yo DD needs new lenses and I was thinking of getting her transition lenses. She loves to wear sunglasses but I wasn't sure if the transition lenses would be weird for her.

Re: Transition Lenses for glasses?
We just got these for my 4yo DS who is wearing glasses for the 1st time. He loves them and thinks they are MAGIC! lol. It cost as much as the frames+regular lenses to get transitions, but it was worth it. He normally wears sunglasses all the time in the summer.

we tried them for my 4 year old DD and she HATED them. She never gave us a problem with wearing glasses until then. They would take some time to change back and she just didnt want to wear "sunglasses" every signle time she walked outside. She just hated them lol

Yes. Try a site like Coastal or 39 dollar glasses (which is actually based in Suffolk). That way you'll only pay like $60 for the pair.

Transition Lenses for glasses?
my dd had them in her first set but when she got a new set, I was trying to keep the cost down and she said she did not care if they had them or not so we did not get them on her 2nd pair. if it is really sunny out and she feels like she needs them, she can use her old pair

Also- BJs is running a special now- $39 for a complete pair of kid's glasses and I think $69 for two in case you decide to get separate pairs. (It was an additional $65 for the transition lenses.)

Re: Transition Lenses for glasses?
My little guy is only 15 months. I like the transition lenses for days we are in and out a lot, but for a normal day I keep the regular glasses on him. I don't like the tint inside all the time and in all pictures. I LOVE having them when we are going to park etc..so that I do not have to switch from glasses to sunglasses all the time. So if you can have 2 pairs, I'd get one with each. Walmart has great lens pricing for kids and 1 year warranty. I buy my frames elsewhere because they don't carry the ones I use for my little guy.
