Transitions lenses - glasses?

I'm getting new glasses and am debating whether to get Transitions lenses. Sometimes it seems like a good idea but I'm not sure. The cost is very reasonable if that matters.

If you have Transitions, do you love them or hate them? Why?

Just scared of having it and then hating it. I don't get new glasses that often.

Re: Transitions lenses - glasses?

I've had Transition lenses on every pair of glasses I've had for over 20 years. Other than a couple of pairs from Lenscrafters that seemed to delaminate or something, I've never had a problem.

The transition has gotten much faster, and they get much darker than they used to. I love the fact that I always have sunglasses with me, even when I don't think about it. I think they've definitely helped my eyes in the long run. Without them, I would be getting full sunlight in my eyes frequently, as I would never remember to bring dedicated sunglasses with me.

I have them and I love them. You get a pair of glasses and a pair of sunglasses all in one- what's better that that?

They are great, I don't think I could get a pair without them, I've had them for 10 years.

Only thjing I don't like is the time to change back can be somewhat long when going indoors. Not that I have trouble seeing, but it sometimes seems a bit embarrsing walking around the office for 5 minutes iwth sunglasses.

they get pretty dark, fine for me. They aren't as dark as say normal sunglasses in the bright sun at the beach or something.
